Getting into the small village for coffee in the morning became a nice little ritual before the kids were up. It’s about a 10-minute walk, with a baker or café to choose from. Back at the house, the pool was large, clean, and wonderfully quiet. I asked about charging my electric car, and they arranged for a local electrician to install what was needed before we arrived. There are plenty of sightseeing options nearby without having to spend too long in the car.

We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony every morning, with a wonderful view, and spent the week exploring the great nearby restaurants. The apartment had everything we needed, including a microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hairdryer, TV, socket adaptor, dishes, and cutlery. Since the place wasn’t fully booked, we were given a bigger apartment than the one we’d booked, which suited us very well. The pool was lovely, and as a Finn I especially appreciated the genuine Finnish sauna. We almost had both to ourselves, even late in the summer. One small sauna issue, though: for a Finn, it needs to reach at least 80°C. Luckily I found the knob to turn up the heat. The bed springs were old and squeaky, and my partner got bitten by mosquitoes because none of the windows had screens. We were a couple staying for a week in September 2019, and it was a very pleasant way to combine Italy and Finland in one holiday.

There were good things for children and nice products from the farm. We also found the estate lovely, and the host was very helpful. A wonderful place to stay.

We were there for two weeks with friends and loved the peaceful, comfortable setting and the beautiful views. It’s a great base for exploring Umbria and Tuscany, and the pool made relaxing easy. Markus was a wonderful host. We’ll definitely come back ❤️
