Roy the dog kept us entertained during our group truffle activity. We also had a great meal and picked up some delicious olive oil.

The location is spot on, and things were generally nice. The food is homely, which can be great at times and less so at others. Breakfast was sufficient, the rooms were okay, and the swimming pool is an extra.

There are three kinds of apartments at the "Comparone Casavecchia" farmhouse in Triestina, and all were clean and well looked after. The outdoor areas are green, usable, and maintained too. Staff were courteous, friendly, and attentive to what guests needed.

The surrounding villages and landscapes brought us into the history and culture of magnificent Umbria. At the agriturismo itself, we found quiet in the natural setting and a real break from the hectic pace of life in Brianza. Loredana and Matteo clearly love their work, and treated guests with a parental kind of care. Grandma Loredana's cooking and Matteo's sociability came with constant smiles that spoke of a life of sacrifice. There was plenty for adults and children: a private lake, swimming pool, vegetable garden looked after by the tireless uncle, soccer field, ping pong court, and bocce court. It was a restorative stay for mind and body.

We only stopped for lunch, and it was nice.
