The pool views over forests, vineyards, valleys, and mountains were breathtaking, and the whole place felt like an oasis of calm. Villa Metato sits on a secluded hill in Umbria, reached along a picturesque 200m gravel road shared with the owner's house. We managed it just fine in a VW Passat. The villa's interior is stylish and lovingly put together. We kept noticing new little details even after several days. The real highlight, though, was Margherita. She was so kind and welcoming that we felt like family from arrival, and she was always there to help. She speaks excellent English and Italian. We spent 12 unforgettable days here and fell for the people, landscape, and whole experience. For anyone who enjoys exploring, winding mountain roads lead to beautiful viewpoints, and places like Assisi, Gubbio, Arezzo (Tuscany), Anghiari (Tuscany), Montone, and Perugia, the regional capital, are within an hour's drive. Larger supermarkets in Trestina are only 10 minutes away by car, which was handy. We had so much fun and properly relaxed. Thank you, Margherita, for the wonderful time and memories. We can't wait to return!
