B&B Antares

Friendly, welcoming feel and very clean. Good value for the price.

It looked like a nice room, but it was freezing. The air conditioner wouldn’t heat, there was no toilet paper, and the hot water took ages to come through. There was also a smell of smoke, probably from some guests smoking. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The kitchen situation was another problem: there were no coffee cups, just espresso and a few juices, too small in amount for the number of guests, plus snacks and only two single-serving jam packs. The other guests were talking about the same things. The owner wasn’t there, and after many calls to report the lack of hot water, we couldn’t reach him. We eventually gave up and had to take cold showers. Toilet paper was rationed too, rounded down, so if you used too much, you were out of luck. I can only assume the owner ignored the calls from all of us because he knew what we were asking for, had no fix, and had already been paid. He never showed up, and we don’t even know what he looks like because nobody greeted us when we arrived. The cold-water ordeal was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

They took the money and then vanished. I spent two days without hot water, and when I called and sent a message, nobody ever replied. There wasn’t even any toilet paper. Some Calabrian guests staying with us were embarrassed and said, “I assure you, not all Calabrians are like this!” I can’t recommend the place. Everything was terrible, and they have no idea how to welcome guests. Shame!
