DECK2 is on a quiet side street, with several restaurants nearby. We stayed in April and found the room spotless, with furnishings clearly chosen to give it real charm. Raffaella, the manager, was gracious and even helped us get a Rome reservation at short notice for the next night. You can’t go wrong here.

Deck 2 is within walking distance of bars, restaurants, and shops. The place felt warm, welcoming, and absolutely spotless. Raffaella was a marvelous host, clearly passionate about her business. An amazing stay, and a must-stay in Civetaviccia.

The old building has brand new rooms, and the breakfast voucher at a nearby pastry shop was great. The gracious host made us feel like family.

We had the Raffaello room at DECK2 before boarding our cruise, and it was a great place to spend the night. It’s spacious and bright, with soothing colors and a photo of an ocean liner that made us feel like we were already at sea. There’s no elevator, and the room is on the second floor, but the owner’s husband helped with our luggage. The owner used to work at sea and now works in the port, so she has plenty of stories to share. She was also very helpful with breakfast and dinner suggestions, and we booked a guesthouse transfer to the port at a great price. The room was impeccably clean, with a private bathroom and a huge shower. There’s no TV, but the high-speed Wi-Fi let me play my favorite music and stream a movie once we were back in the room. The location is excellent, close to everything. I highly recommend it, and I know where I’ll stay if I take another ship from Civitavecchia.

We stayed in May 2018, ahead of our ferry to Sardinia. DECK2 had only a few reviews, which we later understood was because it had just opened. Room #1, Augustus, was bright and elegant, with calming colors and a ship photo that made it feel like we were at sea before setting off. Raffaella and her husband both work at the port and are former seafarers, as is her father-in-law, so we heard plenty of stories. The room had a private bathroom with a window and a roomy shower, and the whole house had free high-speed Wi-Fi. It was very clean, and the location put everything we needed just steps away. Raffaella arranged a reasonably priced transfer to the ferry terminal and offered breakfast and dinner tips. We made instant coffee and cappuccino in the room, and had tea with the electric kettle. There’s no elevator, but her husband offered to carry our luggage, even though we didn’t need help. 100% recommended!
