Podere La Doccia

We had our dream wedding location here. The setting is stunning, distinctive, and peaceful, and the owners were very helpful and accommodating. The regional breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and the pool was just right. I can't imagine a better place for getting married in Tuscany.

We're only one day into our stay, with two more to go, and I already had to leave a review. This is the best accommodation we've had on our travels around Europe. The rooms are even better than the pictures: very clean, comfortable, and supplied with plenty of towels and all the toiletries we needed. Breakfast is delicious, with lots of Italian sweet and savory choices. The hosts are wonderful, friendly, and full of suggestions for activities nearby or on site. There's even a video in the room showing what they offer. We got here by a little secluded road just off the main one, about 50 minutes from Florence or Siena and 15 minutes from Arezzo. Other cities we planned to visit are around 1 hour 15 minutes away. The setting has all that classic Tuscan scenery: cypress trees, vineyards, hills, a traditional tenuta house, terraces, a pool, silence, and those views. You can visit the animals, walk through the vineyard, borrow bikes for a ride, picnic, stargaze, or go horse riding. Too bad we don't have longer, but we'll definitely come back.

The owner was so welcoming and kind, and made us feel at home. Our room was spotless and cleaned every day. We also loved the tasty breakfasts made with fresh local products. It was a fantastic stay in a beautiful location, and I'd highly recommend it.

We booked this at the last minute after our other accommodation let us down, hoping they'd have a room and that it would look like the photos. It turned out to be the best thing that could've happened. The pictures don't do it justice: you come in along a gorgeous tree-lined drive, and the farmhouse fits right into the setting. Inside, it's cool, modern, bright, and open, with vineyards and beautiful views in almost every direction. The owner, their family, and the welcoming staff really made it for us. They couldn't have done more to make our group of 12 and our six-month-old feel at home, from arranging a travel cot and suggesting great places to eat, to booking them for us and bringing wines they thought we'd like. Everyone was humble and incredibly friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were comfortable and modern, and the travel cot worked perfectly for our son. There are plenty of outdoor spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings, and we spent a whole happy day at the good-sized pool. I wish we could've stayed longer. Thank you all, we hope to return.
