Notre Maison Eco Wellness Hotel

We’d been traveling nonstop for a little over a week, and arriving at Notre Maison felt like an invitation to stop and exhale. I’d made ambitious plans for short road trips, but we dropped them and stayed in the Cogne area for all four nights. Our suite was spacious and lovely, with gorgeous mountain views from the balcony. The wellness center was a dream, with several heated pools. I highly recommend Fabiola in the spa, who gave me two wonderful massages, the Active Ground and the Tibet. Breakfast and dinner were both great. We’d booked one dinner elsewhere before arriving, but after seeing the food, wine, and service, we ate the rest of our meals at the hotel, even as vegetarians. Hiking trails started near the hotel, with plenty more a short drive away. My husband also loved his half day e bike rental through the hotel. Most tourists at the hotel and around the area seemed to speak Italian or German. I’m not sure we saw anyone else from the United States while we were there. Speaking a little Italian wasn’t necessary, but helped when we went to some of the smaller villages nearby. Stefania’s excellent English was especially helpful, and she took great care of us. Many thanks to her, the family, restaurant servers, spa team, and housekeeping. We had an amazing stay and really hope to return.

We had a lovely lunch and the service was excellent. The outdoor pool overlooking the lake is beautiful, and there’s every spa facility you could want. The setting is stunning. Definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant was very good and the staff were friendly. It’s a nice hotel, though during Covid the spa was limited to the pool, with no hammam or sauna.
