The room looked nice, but the only window faced the street and traffic was loud day and night. The mattress was rock hard, and I couldn't sleep on it. I ended up aching all over from trying. I requested a late check-in at 17:00 and was told that was fine. I arrived at 16:50, but nobody was there, and I waited 35 minutes. I had no local SIM or internet, so I walked 15 minutes with my luggage to find a shop and get a SIM card. Then I reached the owner, who said her dad would come open the door. I got in an hour later than we'd agreed. When I contacted the owner about the problems, she said there was nothing she could do, then asked whether I'd taken money from the kitchen. A very bad experience overall.

The owner was so welcoming that I'd gladly return. I spent five nights here, and the recently renovated rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had air conditioning. The neighborhood was quiet, though the room faced the street on the ground floor and there was some noise, just not too much. Nearby are the Capodimonte Museum, National Archaeological Museum, the Catacombs of San Gennaro and San Gaudioso, the Sanità district, and plenty of other sights. It's easy to reach from the Naples ring road, and Via Toledo is a little over half an hour away on foot. Parking takes some figuring out, as it does in the historic center, but there are paid lots close by. I parked my motorcycle under the bedroom window.
