I camp regularly, and this was still the worst stay I've ever had. The house smelled awful, and I can only hope we didn't come away with some illness. Given the conditions the owner provides, you'd think he really dislikes having people there. The positive comments feel fake.

We just got back, and it was awful. The house looked nothing like the photo, and there wasn't even a sign. The owner was hardly around. It was cleaned when we arrived, but not once more during our three days there. There was a strange smell, and the towels were old and full of holes.

The place felt cold and unwelcoming, and really offered just a bed for the night. What bothered me most was that the person who greeted us chose not to wear a mask because, as they explained in our conversation, they didn't believe they needed one. They only put it on after I mentioned it. It left me wondering how carefully the room and bathroom had been sanitized. If I'd known, I wouldn't have stayed. Disrespectful.

The room and services were top notch, and the view where sea meets mountains was something special. F. was such a valuable host. He collected us from the station, took us back there at dawn, invited us to a restaurant opening up in the hills, and arranged a dinner under the stars with the other guests. An unforgettable vacation! Highly recommended.
