Olivo is on the first floor, reached by stairs, and opens onto a huge terrace with a splendid majolica-topped table. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with beautiful Deruta ceramics, and the pool was wonderful even late at night. The location is peaceful, away from town, and Lucio, the owner, was available without being intrusive. Useful places like a bakery, pastry shop, bar, and supermarket are a seven-minute drive away. The main road is nearby too, making it easy to reach the lovely towns of Umbria.
I won't be coming back. The apartment was dirty when we arrived, and even the dishes and glasses hadn't been washed. Cobwebs were everywhere on the poorly maintained exterior, and insects disturbed our stay. The pool seemed abandoned and hadn't been cleaned, with dead bees floating in it. When we had a problem, including spending a whole day without gas, the owner was never there and didn't answer when we called. I'm sorry, but I'm dissatisfied.
The view over the Umbrian hills is breathtaking, and the pool among the greenery was a lovely place to unwind after visiting nearby villages. Villa Lucia was a wonderful find. The apartments are tastefully furnished with beautiful majolica tiles made by the owners, so we felt at home right away. Mr. Lucio's hospitality made the stay unforgettable. He shared his passion for craftsmanship and his deep knowledge of the area, giving us a genuine, authentic experience. Highly recommended!
Nice apartments in a pleasant place, and a great central base for visiting the main attractions.
