Hotel Locanda Bonardi

We've stayed here several times and have loved every visit. It's a great place for anyone who enjoys nature, peace and quiet, or hiking, with lots of trails to choose from. The staff are attentive, very friendly, and helpful, and they've always accommodated my several food allergies. Our room has had an amazing mountain view each time, and it's always been clean with a comfortable bed. Definitely recommend.

We're already making plans to return in a few weeks. This is a great weekend getaway, even though it's only 50 km from home. The staff were so welcoming, from Marco at reception to Simone the Manager and the cleaning lady, I only have nice things to say. The rooms were clean and nice, and the view gets a 10 out of 10.

We spent five nights here over New Year's and absolutely loved our stay. We were a little nervous about booking a full-board deal in case the food turned out badly and we'd wasted a lot of money, but there was no need to worry. Dinner was three courses, the menu changed every night, and everything was delicious. Breakfast was simple but more than enough. The rooms were older, though clean and comfortable. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

The spa was well above average, with a sauna, steam room, massage room, jacuzzi, standing sun bed, loungers, and free tea. Service was also excellent, and the main reception staff spoke English and were very helpful with our group. Alcohol and coffee were fantastic value by British standards, and the quality was much better than the price suggested. Our room for 6 had a cramped four-bed setup, two bunks with hardly any space to move, and those beds weren't very comfortable. The other room was an adequate double. The living room was spacious, with a fireplace and cupboards of essentials like cups, glasses, dishes, and cutlery, plus a few things perhaps left by earlier guests. The shower was small, and there wasn't enough hot water for 6 people to wash one after another after skiing. Breakfast and dinner were very average, with limited options, although service was professional. Meals were part of our package, but they felt like they came quickly from a microwave, without seasoning. The pumpkin ravioli was the clear highlight, and other guests rated the gnocchi highly, but some dishes were bland. The hotel is isolated, and once the pistes closed, there wasn't much to do beyond wait for food and go to bed. We kept ourselves entertained, though some people might struggle. We found table tennis and table football downstairs in what seemed to be a conference room, but the table tennis paddles had no rubber or broken handles. There are many good things here, but most had some drawback, so the stay felt like a very good example of a three-star experience.
