Viandanti, Artisti e Sognatori

This quiet little village has only a few inhabitants, and its peace feels worlds away from the rush and worries of the city. The sky is free of pollution, with some of the most beautiful stars I've ever seen. It feels frozen in time, a rare and special place. The owners are two extraordinary people, with such pure, sincere souls. I'd love to return and stay longer to recharge. Truly unique.

The hamlet is tucked in greenery at about 800 meters above sea level, with forest paths for hikes. We took the easy trail to Torsana, the nearby village, and would recommend it. There are five gentle donkeys wandering around with their dog and a few cats, while magnificent horses graze higher up in the meadows. The B&B is at the edge of this small hamlet, where about 10 people live. Giancarlo welcomed us in the living room, dining room and kitchen, and we felt like old friends gathered around the table. The downstairs rooms were clean and comfortable.

Time seems to have stopped in Camporaghena, a mysterious place where the Celts and Apuan Ligurians joined forces against invaders. B&B Viandanti, Artisti e Soniatori makes an ideal base for exploring the village and the surrounding area. Courtesy and quality are what you'll remember from your stay.

Giancarlo and Maurizio's house is a peaceful, almost fairytale-like hideaway, and much more than a B&B. The hosts are the kind of welcoming friends you hope to find, always kind, friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and fully equipped, and they're warm and attentive at any hour, day or night. Maurizio is a wonderful chef, and breakfast comes with homemade jams and cakes from simple, fresh ingredients. Pure magic, thank you.
