We slept well on the comfortable beds, and for once I woke up without back pain. The rooms are spacious, with air conditioning in every bedroom and good shutters throughout. The balcony goes around the whole apartment and opens onto three of the four bedrooms, with lovely outdoor seating and hardwood furniture. Paolo gave us a warm welcome and showed us around. He lives somewhere in the same building, so he was easy to reach with questions. The cathedral view was beautiful, and there are two nice bathrooms, one with a large tub. The washing machine worked well, and there was a useful drying rack. The apartment was very clean, though dust had been missed on top of the closets and bathroom cabinets. You can park for free on the street right by the entrance. A couple of interior doors creak loudly enough to wake people during a nighttime bathroom trip, so we left them open. I also noticed there seemed to be no smoke detectors. Aren't those required here?
