We came back for a second stay at Qvintilianvs because we love this place. Luigi was wonderfully accommodating, and we enjoyed his delicious cappuccinos each morning. The inn is old but updated and comfortable, right in the middle of Contigliano Alto, a hilltop medieval town with ancient walls and plenty of charm. There are a few practical things to know: parking is available, but not close to the hotel, and the steep cobblestone walk uphill may be difficult or inaccessible for some. There’s no elevator or air conditioning. For us, those things are part of the appeal. It’s special to stay in a 400-year-old home with this level of comfort. We’ll be back, Luigi. Thanks for such a wonderful start to our Italian excursion!

Luigi makes you feel like family and is always attentive. The snacks are great, and the coffee is delicious. The rooms are cozy and decorated in the local style, in an enchanting B&B in the upper part of a medieval village. It’s a beautiful, charming place to stay, and one we’d love to return to. Everyone should come at least once to discover it.

It’s a historic building in a lovely setting, with an enchanting view, but the stay was disappointing. The stairs were steep and uncomfortable. The platter portions were small for the high prices, and we ordered five amaros but were offered just one. Breakfast was almost laughable: croissants and biscuits in a bag, imitation ones that I had to eat dry, with no juice or water. The bill came before we left and was shockingly expensive. I’d thought the room price was included. How can anyone say everything was excellent? Maybe they’re friends!

Photos can’t really show the atmosphere at Qvintilianvs. It feels like entering another dimension. The small village residents gathering in the square overlooking the B&B in the evenings made the stay feel unique. Luigi, the owner, pays attention to every detail, and the room was very comfortable. The view is breathtaking, and the breakfast croissants are delicious.

I spent two nights at QVINTILIANVS, right on the main square of a medieval village. I was able to work from the tavern tables with only the sounds of nature around me. The internet was impeccable, the service excellent, and the temperature perfect. Having an 1100s village almost all to yourself, with views over the Sabine hills, is priceless.
