The place has been renovated nicely and was clean, but we booked the two-bedroom unit and it felt much smaller than the photos suggested. Check-in was a mess. She had received and replied to our messages, saying she needed an hour, but we ended up waiting three and a half hours. An apology would have helped. Instead, she said she hadn’t seen any messages, even though she’d answered us more than once. There was only one key card for the four of us. It opened the door and also had to stay in to keep the power on, including the air conditioning, so it was very inconvenient when we went out. The apartment got extremely hot while we were away, and cooling it down again took hours. We asked for a spare card and were told no because of some previous renters. That left us very hot and uncomfortable throughout the stay.

The room was clean and quiet, and the location was perfect. Breakfast was at the Verso café across from the castle: juice or freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee or cappuccino, and a pastry. The products were excellent, and the service friendly and professional. The bathroom, though, is small and short on amenities. A toilet paper holder, a place for toothbrushes and toothpaste, and some towel hooks would help. The bidet isn’t comfortable for taller people. I also found the room spotlights too bright, and a dimmer would be useful.

The woman who owns the place gave us a fantastic welcome and was very kind. It’s in Conversano’s historic center, close to the attractions, and has been renovated beautifully. I highly recommend it.

The room was lovely, well furnished, and very clean. The welcome was quick, just collecting the key and paying, and breakfast was at the bar. The Wi-Fi didn’t work.

The room was genuinely charming, and the person who greeted us was very kind. They also gave us lots of tips on places to visit and where to eat.
