Masseria San Vito

We spent a few days at this beautiful masseria in early September with friends and children. Right away, the calm and beauty of the place stood out. There are three different units: the largest and oldest is renovated in the Salento tradition, while the other two are more modern but just as functional. There's a pool, a park with a treehouse, and ponies and goats kept apart from the units. Mr. Belisario was very hospitable and helpful, even offering us a delicious, plentiful dinner on arrival. We did have a few small issues: during a storm, one room flooded; the roosters crowed early enough to wake guests in the neighboring annex; and the pool changed color on the third day. Belisario resolved all of them. The place, its location, and Mr. Belisario were a pleasant discovery, definitely worth trying.

A lovely farmhouse tucked into the greenery, great for groups of friends and a paradise for children. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent for exploring Salento's best beaches and towns.

A stay here is a holiday in itself for all ages, and the masseria is perfectly placed for reaching Salento's most interesting destinations with ease.

There were 20 of us at the masseria, 12 adults and 8 children, and we all loved our week there. The days went by so quickly that we’re already sure we’ll come back.
