Corbezzolo - Residenza Arcangela con Piscina nel Salento

The pool area felt almost like our own, with plenty of privacy among the olive trees, though the town of Corsano is only a short walk away. We stayed in an apartment with really roomy bedrooms and bathrooms, all the appliances we needed, including a washing machine, and an outdoor area too. Both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts are only a few kilometers away by car. A lovely way to experience Salento.

We spent a wonderful night here with our group of friends and had all the comforts we could ask for. The big garden was a great place for everyone to gather around large tables, surrounded by greenery and the beautiful Salento countryside. The villa is brand new, and you can see that in the quality of the furniture and kitchens across the four apartments. We arranged the tables and rooms with the owners and their agent Federico before arriving, and everything was ready just as we’d pictured. They were kind and helpful with every request, even providing a little firewood for the barbecue. We’d definitely consider staying here again.

The price seemed very reasonable, and the location made it easy to get to the towns and beaches we wanted to see. The village of Corsano is close enough to walk to for local grocery shops and supermarkets. This isn’t a nightlife spot, but Santa Maria di Leuca is 15 minutes away, and Gallipoli is about 40 minutes away if you want to go out. We had the whole Residenza Arcangela to ourselves from July 17th to 24th, 2021, as a group of 22, and it was fantastic. Everything was new, although some parts were still being finished. There were two lovely pools and two great barbecue grills. The owners and Federico, who took care of the booking, were always available, quick to reply, and very helpful. They kindly provided everything we needed, including grilling wood and plenty of free fruit and vegetables. A couple of things could be improved: the rooms in the side apartments don’t have doors, and there could be more bathroom hooks for towels and bathrobes. Since work was still underway, I expect those might be added soon.

The pool, set in a garden with a typical Puglian feel, was a hit with everyone. We rented two modern, clean, air-conditioned apartments at the Arcangela residence, and Federico, the manager, organized things so our group of seven would be comfortable. There are excellent swimming spots nearby, including Guardiola and Marina di Novaglie. We had a great stay in Corsano, and it would work well for families or friends.
