I’m writing this from my car because the host won’t let us into our booking. We arrived at 8 pm with the kids in the car and called to find out what was going on. He said he needed an appointment to hand over the keys, but nobody had told us that at any point! I offered to go to him and pick them up. He hung up and hasn’t answered since. Avoid this place at all costs.

The place is spacious, clean, and welcoming. It would have won more of my approval if guests could use the washing machine. It’s close to Cortona, with a shop, bar, park, and church all nearby. A good option if you don’t mind driving to Cortona and finding parking, or walking uphill for about 30 minutes.

We stayed for three nights. The room was reasonably clean and came with a kitchenette, but breakfast wasn’t included and there was no salt, sugar, or coffee. The location is excellent, 3 km from Cortona and near several pizzerias, restaurants, and discount stores. We chose Camucia as a base for visiting Arezzo and Perugia, with a stop at Lake Trasimeno.

A roomy, comfortable apartment with its own little garden and windows facing the municipal park. It’s a good-value place to stay, especially if you’re driving around Tuscany, and a handy base for exploring nearby towns and vineyards.

We stayed from August 14-16, 2022. The apartment had a double bedroom and bunk beds in the living room, with simple but complete furnishings. It was clean, and the staff were warm and helpful. A good base for visiting Cortona city center and Arezzo.
