Relais Villa Baldelli

The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt elegant but relaxed. My boyfriend and I spent two nights at Villa Bardelli, and it was a wonderful stay. The villa is beautifully preserved, with authentic Tuscan charm, peaceful surroundings, and lovely countryside views. A perfect romantic escape near Cortona, I'd happily return.

The grounds were gorgeous, surrounded by greenery and the peaceful sounds of nature. The pool was immaculate and serene, a lovely place to unwind with a glass of wine and views of the Tuscan countryside. It's relaxing but still close to Cortona, so nearby villages, wineries, and landmarks are easy to explore. Francesca, our host, made the stay unforgettable. She was warm, professional, and genuinely caring, offered great recommendations, helped us book restaurants, and made sure every detail was right. The whole staff treated us like royalty, always attentive and friendly with a smile. Breakfast was incredibly generous, with fresh bread, several kinds of local ham and cheese, eggs, cornetti, pastries, and more. It felt like a royal banquet to start the day. Relais Villa Baldelli sits among the rolling hills just outside Cortona. This historic 17th-century villa was originally a summer retreat for the noble Baldelli family. It has been masterfully renovated, keeping its original charm and antique architecture while adding the modern comforts you'd expect from a luxury stay. Every room has its own character and Tuscan warmth, making you feel like you've stepped into another era while still having today's comforts. Our stay at Relais Villa Baldelli was magical, a true Tuscan experience and a hidden gem. It's a wonderful place to escape city life and enjoy a relaxing, authentic stay. I can't recommend it highly enough!

The room was roomy and nicely styled, and the huge bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the friendly staff and the good, if not outstanding, breakfast. The big pool has lots of space to lounge and looks out over Cortona, the vineyard, and olive trees. At this price, I expected coffee or tea and reliable Wi-Fi. The outdoor tables and chairs and the grounds could be cleaner, and the garden could use more care.

We spent a week here and had a great time. The pool was lovely, with views of Cortona, and never felt too crowded. Our room was clean and spacious. The hotel is surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery, with a peaceful atmosphere, yet Cortona is only a five-minute drive away. The people running the hotel were really friendly and helpful.
