In June 2025 it felt like a ghost hotel. No one was working at reception or in the breakfast rooms, which were closed, so check-in and breakfast were handled at the Sporthotel next door. Construction was going on throughout the area, and the rooms smelled of asphalt. My room was on the underground floor, where there’s a sauna, and the whole floor felt quite hot and humid. It was clean, and the included breakfast at the neighboring hotel was great. It was also the cheapest place in all of Corvara, which makes it hard to rate. Cyclists should know the climb up is no joke: 1 km at about 15%.

The sauna is naked only, and I was disappointed to learn the sister hotel’s transport would cost €10 per trip. The 15-minute walk was along a steep, winding road with no pavement or bus service. The place is well positioned, though the food was very good but a bit fussy for a ski holiday, when I’d prefer something more rustic. Our room was well equipped, and the spacious balcony was a bonus on sunny days.

A relaxing sauna and steam room, plenty of storage, a boot room, and clean rooms with fresh towels made for a very good stay. The staff were friendly, and Amin’s service was exceptional. He was attentive and quick to respond. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my ski holiday this season.

It’s a cosy, friendly place, close to the slopes and with lovely valley views. But the service has slipped since last year. There’s no afternoon tea and nowhere comfortable to sit after skiing, and they even charge extra for coffee after dinner.
