Garni Ciasa de Munt

The wellness centre was just what we needed after long days on the slopes, and the breakfast spread was a great start each morning. We especially liked the freshly squeezed juice of the day. The in-house bistro, with chef Axle cooking, keeps the menu simple but tasty, and this year we tried the Wednesday sushi dinner. Definitely one to try. You can also arrange special dinners with paired wines, which we think is worth doing once during a stay. There’s even a fine-dining breakfast at Alpine Lounge at the top of Piz Boe. The views across the Alps are spectacular, and you can spend time up there before walking back down. This was our second January ski trip at Ciasa de Munt in two years, and we stayed for two weeks. It’s a lovely family-run hotel. Oliver, Alexandra and Patrick welcomed us back like family and kept up the friendly, professional service throughout. Our corner room was roomy, bright and laid out well, with a large bathroom and underfloor heating that felt wonderful on cold mornings. The bed was big and very comfortable. We had a wonderful time and will be back. It’s hard to put the whole experience into words, and we’d give Ciasa de Munt more than five stars if we could. Highly recommend it for a stay in Corvara.
