Residence La Filanda in Costermano Near Centre

Costermano is very quiet, with no shows for children and not much for them to do apart from the swimming pool. Caneva land and Garda land are about a half hour away by bus and are highly recommended. The apartments are nice and clean in the main building, but there’s no elevator to the top floors. Families with young children and buggies should ask for a lower floor. The hill to the facility is very steep, so a car would be needed if you have buggies. There’s no oven, only cooking hobs, and no shop or vending machines on site, so you have to walk to the supermarket for water and other things. The hillside location is charming, about 5km uphill from Garda. I wouldn’t recommend walking there because the roads aren’t safe for pedestrians. Buses seem to come every couple of hours, so plan your trip. There’s plenty of parking at la Filanda if you have a car, but parking in towns is hard to find and very expensive. During storms, the air conditioning stopped working twice, which made sleeping in the heat very difficult.

I’m not sure I’d go back. There was no check-in information, so I had to call. Check-in was very impolite, and there was an invasion of bugs. Some people partied all night, and I had to call the emergency number twice to get them to stop around 3am.

VITTORIO is very kind, helpful, and professional. It’s a great place to stay, central but still very quiet. Strongly recommend.

The hotels are old and run-down, with a depressing interior. At one of them there was no reception or staff, and there were drunken guests. Stay away!
