The deer pasta was amazing, and the coffee was great too. The staff were lovely.

I’ve eaten at the restaurant in Hotel Chalet Joli for both lunch and dinner, and I’m already looking forward to going back. Francesca and Marco are warm, attentive hosts. The room feels cosy and tidy, and the anti-COVID rules were followed properly. The menu has local Valley dishes, including delicious tagliatelle with deer, several kinds of polenta, and homemade cakes. There’s also a very good wine selection, chosen with real enthusiasm for the area. The food is delicious, and the value for money is unusually good for here. Not to be missed :-)

The veal ragu pasta I had for dinner was quite nice. Still, I’d choose nearby Ristorante La Palud next time. Their set menu is tasty and feels much better value.

We got lucky on a Saturday evening: it was the only place we found with a table available without a reservation, and they made room for us. Service was great and the food was good, though nothing exceptional. It was a bit pricey, but that’s Courmayeur.

Really enjoyed this place. The view is awesome, the people are lovely, and the coffee and desserts were very good. Highly recommend.
