We were looking forward to returning to this welcoming family-run hotel. It's very quiet despite being close to the Skyway. Breakfast is included in the tariff and is terrific, and it’s one of the better-priced options in the area.

Set in Val Veny right under Mont Blanc, Hotel Aiguille Noire has breathtaking views and a quaint, rustic feel. The location works well for outdoor activities and a short visit. Our room was clean but a little dated, and the Wi-Fi was spotty. The service was polite, though not always quick. The price seemed a bit high for what you get, so don't expect modern luxury.

Sabrina is a perfect host from the moment you arrive and throughout the stay. Simon, her son, is a great bar tender and fun to chat with, and he's pretty good at fifa too, so you can challenge him. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. A perfect hotel for a ski or mountain holiday!

The garden has deck chairs, flowers, and shady trees, with The View all around. The rustic rooms are comfortable and have The View too. This lovely family-run hotel has a stunning view of the Monte Blanco massif, and the family are friendly and happy to tell you what you need to know. Breakfast was very nice. It's a short walk to the Skyway, which goes up to 3400m.

The family who hosted us were so warm and nice. I even played fifa with their son Simon and lost. Couldn't have asked for a better stay during the holidays. Love this hotel, and I'll be back soon!
