Tavernier

We came as a family of four for a skiing holiday and arrived late, but were greeted with a friendly smile. The staff looked after us so well. The rooms were clean and warm, the breakfast was great and the kids loved it, and the hotel is very close to the ski lifts. There’s also a very handy car park. I was really sorry to leave. I just wish I could go back tomorrow.

We stayed for 3 days, and the location is super close to the ski lifts, about a 3 minute walk. The owner, who runs the place, paid very good attention to all the customers. Family-owned hotels have a different feel from corporately run ones, with a different kind of attention. It’s old-school in its decor and has a rustic feel. We’d go back.

The only thing that took away a star for me was the Wi-Fi, which worked in the shared areas but not in the room. Otherwise, the staff were so kind and ready to help, even with the language barrier. Our room was spacious, clean, and well laid out, and breakfast was very good for a reasonable price. It sits right by the river, so you can hear it quite loudly. I actually liked the sound and the view. I’d definitely recommend it and would come back.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and breakfast was okay. Being close to the center was convenient, but we didn’t sleep well at all. We had requested a double bed and were given two small single beds instead. They were uncomfortable, and I kept waking up, nearly falling out. The room could have been cleaner, and the hotel itself feels very old. Not a good stay for us because the room wasn’t comfortable and we couldn’t rest properly.
