The mountain view stole my heart. The spa is great too: 35 euros for unlimited time, and it’s open until 8 pm. There are two jacuzzis, one on the ground floor and one outside, plus two saunas. The outdoor sauna is cute and hot, perfect for me.

We stayed in the Chalet part of the hotel, and the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was good, while dinner was a mixed bag, some nights good and some not so good. I also had a nice massage in the spa, and the hotel has a lovely warm atmosphere. It’s a 10 min walk down to the Gondola and ski shop, and a short walk to the bus stop for Courmayeur centre. We had a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel.

The rooms, including the smallest one, were simple, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of hot water. It’s an easy base for Courmayeur. This family-run hotel gave us a warm welcome, and everyone went out of their way to help with van lifts and answer all our questions. The food was lovely, and the dining room team were friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We paid and left without eating the fondue. Three of us ordered cheese fondue and one had tagliatelle ragu for lunch. The fondue came in small individual portions, but the cheese was so watery it wouldn’t stick to the bread. It was awful, tasting more like goat cheese rind mixed with water and flour, or a very bad béchamel. It came with Uncle Ben’s style rice and boiled potatoes, when we’d expected traditional fondue. The ragu was below par too. I’ve eaten at restaurants across different Alpine regions for over 40 years, and this was by far the worst. Service was so-so. There’s much better food across the street at the brasserie, with excellent food and service. Avoid this place at all costs!
