We loved Maison La Saxe, especially the excellent breakfast and the lifts to and from the ski lifts. The owners were great sources of information, with useful advice on things like renting a ski locker. The rooms were just right and the service was fantastic. We'd gladly return and recommend it.

Breakfast felt carefully planned, and the host served each table and took everyone's coffee preference instead of laying out a buffet. We got excellent coffee, assorted breads and scones, fresh juice from berries whose name we can't remember, yogurt, cheese, ham, and more. The host even packed bread and ham for our lunch. We stayed here in August 2024 before setting out on the Tour de Mont Blanc. The stone building was interesting, though it wasn't easy to find, and the rooms had been made comfortable.

We extended our stay by a night because Maison La Saxe made such a good base for seeing the Aosta Valley during our Tour du Mont Blanc hike. Local and regional buses made it easy to get to castles, Roman ruins, and try the regional food. The whole experience felt easy and authentic. The staff welcomed us warmly, and our quaint room had the cozy alpine feel we needed after days on the trail. The bed was comfortable and helped us recharge. Every part of the stay was pleasant and memorable. I'd recommend this place to hikers or anyone wanting to enjoy the Mont Blanc area and old Courmayeur, Italy. Five stars.

Raphael even walked with me to the trailhead on the morning I left. Lovely rooms, a great breakfast, and excellent hosts, thanks Raphael and Megan. I'd recommend staying here, and would come back if I do the TDMB again.

A lovely spot for exploring the area, with a fantastic breakfast too. The hotel is charming and beautiful, and every detail seems carefully considered. It looked wonderful in summer, so I can't wait to see it in winter. We'll be back.
