We stumbled on Cupra Marittima’s upper town during a simple Saturday afternoon and ended up spending two hours discovering its history. QR codes along the narrow streets explain the old buildings and churches, some dating back to the twelfth century or earlier. Much of the area has been renovated, and it’s a beautiful place to visit in any season. On a clear day, the view is breathtaking. It doesn’t take much to learn something about the history of our beautiful towns.

Cupra is worth a visit. It’s a lovely seaside resort with Blue Flag beaches and sea, plus a beautiful cycle path along the coast that connects with Porto d'Ascoli.

The owner was kind and helpful, and we had a fantastic stay. The water was calm and clean, and wide, free beaches were only two minutes from the door. The location was excellent.
