B&b apartments Monika

The apartments are lovely, comfortable, spotless, and have everything needed for a pleasant stay. The whole building has been furnished with care. We found the hospitality and helpfulness excellent. With the lake views and public transport close by, it's easy to explore San Valentino and the valley on foot or by bike. I'd absolutely recommend it.

We've stayed at Brigitta and her family's house for many years, and would happily return again. It feels comfortable and welcoming, and the place is clean with lots of thoughtful details. If something is missing or we spot a fault, they try to sort it out straight away. It's a handy base for hiking and biking, or skiing in winter. Couples and families with children can find things to do, and the activities posted by the entrance can offer ideas. Our daughter can play in the garden, and the hot tub has a magnificent mountain view. In summer we especially enjoy sitting outside together and chatting. We've read some of the criticism in other reviews. We think people who speak up can be helped, and at around 30 degrees Celsius in summer, we can understand why the sauna might not get much use. We've also found that problems can be addressed, though they can't be changed afterward.

Guest or nuisance? After staying at Haus Monika for years, sometimes twice a year, we thought of ourselves as regulars. The hosts apparently didn't see it that way. In August, we tried to book our Carnival holidays again, only to be told the dates were already taken. The Moriggl family didn't even check with us. It seems the other guests may have paid a deposit earlier. It was shocking to be treated like that after so many visits. We never really felt like guests, more like a nuisance, and there was no empathy. We agree completely with Mr. Kachelmann's review. We felt watched all the time by cameras and the owner's mother. Once, with my daughter's ski boots in a bag, I was immediately told to use the ski room instead of going through the house. The owner's daily checks of our apartment also made us uncomfortable. We left a slipper just behind the door, and each time we came back it had been moved. In the hot tub, the children were continually asked whether they'd had enough. The cleanliness was okay.

We felt at home from the start, thanks to the Moriggl family, who were kind and accommodating hosts. We had a wonderful ski holiday at Monika's in the Skiclub apartment. It was comfortable, nicely detailed, and finished to a high standard. The apartment and the whole house were clean and well cared for. We'd gladly return!
