Such a nice place, with a really original feel.

Breakfast was good, though it was all sweet. My room on the fourth floor was sunny and quiet, and the elevator made getting there easy. The building is charming, built into a rock in a handy location. The rooms are clean and well cared for; the furnishings aren’t new, but they’re kept up nicely.

We spent one night using a half-board coupon, and it was a terrible experience. The only real positives were reasonable cleanliness and kind maids. The room was tiny, and the old bathroom had no hairdryer. Breakfast was forgettable, and the owner’s remarks were completely out of place. Dinner was meant to come with an aperitif, but only an alcoholic one. When we asked for something non-alcoholic for the kids, we were told it wasn’t included and anything else would be charged, though fortunately they didn’t charge us. At breakfast, the owner pointed out that we’d already had a croissant and kept watching everyone’s movements. The place was absolutely inconvenient, with no common areas. Be careful around the elevator sensors too.

The location worked very well, close to both the center and the spa, and the price was good. My double room was spacious and clean, with a telephone and TV, but only a radiator for heat, no air conditioning. The bathroom was roomy and had a bidet, though no hairdryer. The furnishings felt a bit dated. With the window open, flying insects like butterflies might get in and sting. Breakfast was a mostly sweet buffet. I didn’t try the restaurant area. It’s described as a family-run hotel, and the staff were friendly.
