La Vecchia Fattoria

It’s a family-run place with a really friendly feel. They make you feel like royalty while you’re there.

The place itself was lovely, and we had a great day out with friends. Lunch was a letdown, though. I know serving people can be stressful work, but the service disappointed us, especially after driving more than an hour to get there. I’d also hoped more from the food.

We felt completely looked after throughout our idyllic stay, and the staff, including Angela, Giovanni, Ludovica, and Luca, were lovely and ready to help with anything. Angela even brought Giuseppe fresh eggs every morning and gave him two more to take with him when we left. The cabins were spotless and had every comfort, while the food was carefully prepared and tasted authentic. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, with a well-kept lawn where Lupita had a lovely time rolling around, plus a pool. We’re definitely coming back. If we could, we’d give it more than 10 stars. Thank you all for the hospitality and for making the stay so fantastic. We recommend it with great enthusiasm. The occasion was my father’s 80th birthday, and La Vecchia Fattoria made it a memorable day for our group of 65, with family and friends coming from near and far. Angela and her daughter Ludovica took care of every detail, welcoming us warmly and making us feel at home. Their attention, helpfulness, and professionalism made the celebration feel special from start to finish. Set amid greenery and beautifully maintained, the venue was a lovely fit for a special event. The food was delicious, with flavorful dishes made from quality ingredients that showed real care for Calabrian tradition. Some of our relatives also stayed in the apartments and were very pleased. They found the accommodations comfortable, practical, and welcoming, which made their visit more relaxing. We were there in Decollatura on September 7th, and I’d happily recommend the place to anyone in the Catanzaro Presila and Reventino areas looking for good food, genuine hospitality, and special moments. We’ll certainly return!
