Villa Delle Ciliegie

The owners made us feel at home and were happy to share tips for trips and sightseeing. We had everything we needed, from plenty of dishes for five to a gas stove, dishwasher, toaster, blender, and microwave. The bathroom also had a washing machine and hairdryer, and towels were changed twice a week. Toilet paper and dishwasher tablets were provided, and drinking water was available from a dispenser in the Kriss. The lighting was good throughout. We stayed in the upper of the two apartments for a few days. It's right in the center of Deiva Marina, close to shops, a very good bar, and a fishmonger. If you're driving, you can park in the gated courtyard. There are two small terraces, one facing the street with morning sun and another toward the mountains that gets afternoon sun. Behind the house there's a paved patio or play area with plants around it. Inside, there's a living and dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The living and sleeping areas have marble floors, while the rest is tiled. Central heating is there for cooler days and air conditioning for warmer ones. The beds were good, though the mattresses felt a bit too firm for me. Each bedroom has a double bed with one blanket, meaning a sheet and a thin comforter. The only real drawback for us was the slow, unstable internet, which seemed unusual for Italy. A paring knife in the kitchen would have been a nice extra. The apartment is almost fully equipped, and we felt completely at home. One other detail: it belongs to the neighboring Kriss residence.

The location is excellent, and the kitchenette and washing machine are fully equipped. The furnishings are good, though the doors and toilet flush could use some adjustment.

It's clean and tidy, and the price is fair. The station, sea, and a little shop with a very kind lady are all nearby. At night there's nothing going on, though, so getting around by car is necessary.

A beautiful place, kept very clean and in great shape. The owners are so kind and welcoming.
