That rabbit was the best I’ve ever had, by far. Everything else was delicious too, with simple ingredients given a creative touch. We were welcomed warmly and the service had an easy, relaxed pace. I came with friends on the last day of our Italy trip, and pulling into the lot at sunset gave us spectacular views to start the evening. We even got to meet the proprietors, who made us feel like family. We weren’t hotel guests, just there for the restaurant, but this evening will stay with me.

The little tastes of house-made digestifs at the end were a real highlight, especially with the detailed explanation of how they’re made. Foresteria La Merlina is out of the way, but the mountain views, lovely patio, and warm interior make the trip worthwhile. We had the white 2024 Pietranera, made in house, and it was fabulous. The food was fresh, simply prepared, and delicious. Our server proudly walked us through each dish, and we enjoyed every bite, including the extra sauce mopped up with the homemade bread. A lovely farm-to-table meal, with great drinks and service.

We went tonight, 18th of august, my wife and me. The service was miserable, and the food was only average. We paid 20 euros each for the poolside buffet and a shot of wine. They’d said we’d get a glass, but it was just a shot. I won’t spend my money there again, I’ll go elsewhere.

There’s green as far as you can see, with a magnificent view over the valley and a real sense of relaxation. Marco and Luciana have made a little paradise, welcoming people warmly and treating them to quality products. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are. Thanks for everything, see you soon.
