Villa Stefy

Elena showed us the best spot for swimming in the lake, and our bikes were stored safely overnight. The house is a little outside the center, which wasn’t an issue for us on bikes. The road looked quite busy, but it was quiet overnight and didn’t disturb us. Dervio is a relaxed little town, much less stressful than Bellano, just 3 km away. Elena, her husband Mario, and their son Massimo were excellent hosts. We got by with a little Italian, some French, and English with Massimo, and they looked after us well. Breakfast had homemade cakes, local cheeses, and excellent coffee. The room was spacious and had a great view down the lake, although the bed was a little hard.

Breakfast was really good, with local cheeses, homemade butter, jams, and pies. We enjoyed meeting the lovely owners and spending a night at their place by Lake Como. The rooms were comfortable, with antique furniture that gave the place a special atmosphere. There were great views from the balconies and a beautiful garden, and it was a lovely, quiet place to stay.

Villa Stefy is in Dervio, a very quiet place, and worked well for a night before heading on to northern Italy after spending the day in the southern part of the lake. The common kitchen balcony had a nice view, and breakfast was okay, with delicious homemade sweets. Landlord Helena was very nice to chat with, and we were given a free parking place for the night, which mattered a lot in this area. Some room-cleanliness details still need fixing for it to reach 5/5.

There was plenty of room for both kids and adults, and the host was very welcoming. Awesome stay, I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.
