Le Rive

We had a wonderful balcony overlooking the lake, and the building was always quiet. The apartment has everything you need, including a comfortable bed, modern kitchen and air conditioning, all in a lovely style. It's on the fourth floor of a private complex with an elevator, right along the promenade and close to a beautiful beach. The old town is just a few minutes away on foot. Chiara was a lovely host and shared helpful tips throughout our vacation. We stayed in Desenzano in September 2020 and found this beautiful apartment at Le Rive. For us, Le Rive is the first address in Desenzano. Thanks, Chiara!

The apartment was clean, roomy and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet even though everything is right nearby. We spent four nights there on our honeymoon last week and couldn't find fault with the place. It's perfectly located within walking distance of everywhere, and Chiara was the host we could have hoped for. She met us on arrival, explained everything clearly and quickly replied to all my annoying WhatsApp questions. We'll definitely come back. Thanks again, Chiara, for making our stay special!

Riva del Lago cancelled our entire two-night booking today even though it had been paid in full. Our friends were on their way from Milan to use the second night, but luckily we warned them before they got there. The host called me very nasty names and threatened to charge a no show penalty to my credit card. I've travelled often and love Italy and Booking.com, but this was easily the strangest and most unpleasant experience I've had with a Booking.com host. They took four days to answer a simple question on Booking.com. Then we had serious problems on our way to the hotel and couldn't arrive by the 6pm last check-in, so we made other arrangements. Our daughter got very sick, probably from food poisoning, and we cut our trip short. Given everything going on, telling the host we'd miss the 6pm check-in simply wasn't our first priority. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I've never dealt with a host this rude.

Free parking right under the apartment was a real plus. We stayed for two days, and Chiara was courteous and available whenever we needed anything. The apartment was clean, newly furnished and had all the comforts, including air conditioning, an oven and microwave, and a coffee maker. It's just a short walk from the center of Desenzano. If we're back in the area, we'd definitely stay here again. Recommended!
