Hotel Palazzo Ducale

It has the feel of a small, slightly retro hotel in a great spot. Our room was big, the internet connection decent, and breakfast was decent too. The old building’s thick walls kept the room from getting too warm, so we didn’t need the good air conditioning. The staff were nice.

A classic Italian hotel run by a family.

We were there as a couple from August 20 to 25, 2025, and it was a terrible experience. The rooms need renovating, and the welcome and customer service were nonexistent. We even had to go downstairs ourselves to ask for toilet paper. Staff were nowhere to be found or couldn’t handle even the smallest, simplest requests. They should change jobs.

The seafood dinner was excellent, especially the paccheri with lobster. It’s a nice place, but it hasn’t been maintained well. Getting around with small children is difficult because there are so many steps, and access is awkward. Some entrances could be made easier to use. It felt unsafe in high heels or with children. There’s a lot of potential here, but it needs improvement.
