Hotel Villa Cerelis

The hotel is in a useful spot for getting to Diamante, close to the sea, and has a fantastic view. What stood out most was how meticulously clean everything was each day. The whole staff were helpful and always cheerful. I booked in July for the Geolier concert on August 18, 2024, and Mr. Antonio, the owner, was kind from the start, telling us which rooms were available so we could find one that suited us. We'll definitely return for another occasion.

We stayed in the second week of July with my family, booking half board and a triple room without a sea view. The staff were welcoming from the beginning, helped with our needs, and showed us to the room. It looked small at first, but worked well for three people with our suitcases and bags. There were three beds, two single and one double. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise, a good size with a large shower, toilet, sink and mirror, plus a hairdryer. It was a pity there was no bidet. The room was spotless, fresh-smelling, and cool thanks to good air conditioning. Towels were changed daily and sheets every three days. The one real hassle was having no elevator, so getting our bags upstairs was difficult. Still, we found it very satisfying and good value for a hotel like this. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we'll definitely come back.

We really enjoyed the garden, with two hammocks that were hard to leave, a ping pong table, and a small tower upstairs with a breathtaking view at any time of day. Though it's synthetic, the garden is beautifully maintained and makes for a relaxing afternoon. The place is quiet and breezy, great if you want to recharge. Getting around on foot is easy: the sea is nearby, Lido delle Sirene is just across from the island and has a special deal, and Cirella's ice cream shops are walkable. The center has a minimarket, pharmacy, tobacconist, and newsstand. Parking is plentiful, and I'd only suggest a car for anyone with walking difficulties. My air-conditioned room was cleaned regularly, with fresh towels every day and sheets changed every three days. Breakfast, which I chose as part of the B&B option, was served overlooking Cirella island. I almost didn't want to leave the garden. Federica gave attentive, professional bar service and offered alternatives to the usual breakfast. Chef Linda was also attentive and friendly, serving breakfast from the kitchen and helping with other stay-related needs. I wasn't there for meals, so I can't describe them from personal experience, though several guests mentioned them and they sounded delicious. My return times never coincided with hers. The drawback is the lack of an elevator. There are stairs to the rooms and even to the entrance for check-in. Cultural Heritage restrictions prevent the engineer from accommodating guests. I hope the Engineer, who seems so careful about customer satisfaction, can help someone in the industry address how serious this architectural barrier is. I think it's possible to design a project that removes it and lets everyone enjoy that enchanting villa.

We ended up asking for an extra night because everything was just right during our six-day stay. The food was excellent, the terrace view was stunning, the room was spotless, and the location was peaceful. My boyfriend and I would definitely recommend it.
