Domus Diana

Diana and her family were great hosts and went above and beyond for us. The place feels cozy and has everything you need. We also had the best shower of our weeks traveling around Europe. It's in a great spot near the Colosseum and the main train station. Definitely recommend staying here!

Diana greeted us on the first day, showed us around, and marked the sights on a map, explaining how to reach them on foot or by public transport. Every morning she brought us delicious coffee and croissants. Our room was excellent, with a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was perfectly satisfactory. Termini train station is just 200 meters away, the Collusseum about 500 meters, and there's a little shop next door, with a restaurant and ice cream shop within 100 meters. Domus Diana was absolutely the best. If we make it back to Rome, we'd book here again. Thanks for everything, Diana! Noémi and Norbert from Hungary!

Diana brings coffee and croissants every morning at no charge, and she's always smiling and helpful. Our room was central, quiet, safe, and clean. The WiFi was free, though not very fast. We loved our stay.

Diana is incredibly friendly and, having lived on the Esquilino for decades, can point guests toward all kinds of sights and services around Rome. Her B&B is a great choice if you don't want to pay five-star hotel prices. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh linens and bath towels, each in a different color scheme, and the ceilings have a lovely matte plaster finish. Service is friendly and impeccable. The neighborhood feels local, with restaurants and excellent caffès serving Roman residents, yet it's close to Rome's main train station for travel around Italy. The center is accessible, and the Coliseum is an easy walk through a quaint local park. Try one of the recommended caffès in the morning and watch Romans on their way to work enjoy coffee and pastry. One of the best is three blocks away. When I visited, a very famous American movie star lived in the neighboring building.
