Hotel Caravelle Thalasso & Wellness

There are plenty of restaurants and shops right nearby, plus a Spar for snacks and essentials. The location is amazing, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was spotless thanks to Maria, who was also the smiliest and most helpful person on staff. The car park is large, with free slow charging for cars. The restaurant is a bit pricey, though, and the open-air DJ next door played VERY loud music until about 1am. Still, it was a good stay. All good.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a sea view, and I enjoyed the trekking experience. It was handy to get free bikes from the hotel, and the restaurant waiters were friendly and clearly worked hard. Dogs are welcome, even at dinner, though it wasn’t clear which drinks were included and which cost extra. We only saw the bill when leaving. A special event at the hotel made for a really bad evening. We waited more than an hour to be seated and were treated like ragdolls, as if we should be grateful just to be there. The food was bad. The spa is tiny, more like a children’s playground, and the pool wasn’t heated, so swimming was really cold. Beach construction also meant we couldn’t hear the waves. We were glad to leave and won’t be back, even though the room was nice.

The pools are great, and the service was lovely. The food was okay. It’s a very child and dog friendly place. They even had guests with a cat on a leash, no kidding. There’s no fitness room, so if you want some exercise, you can go hiking with them. I’d warmly recommend it for families, though not for singles.
