The pillows and mattresses were comfortable, and the food was good, though the portions were ridiculously small. We had a terrible experience with reception: the staff were deceitful and untruthful, and wouldn’t acknowledge their mistake about our holiday booking and the prices involved. The manager stayed silent.

The food was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is right by the sea, literally across from it. The rooms, particularly the bathroom, aren’t great because the fixtures are old. Be careful with the shower and sink hot water: as soon as you turn the hot tap, the water comes out extremely hot, hot enough to scald. I’ve never felt water that hot before. It’s a bit pricey for the quality you get.

I stayed on the top floor and had a great time. The room was dated and could use an update, especially the bathroom. Some other rooms have already been renovated, while others haven’t, and the building itself feels a bit neglected and in need of a refresh. The food was excellent, and the dining room staff were incredibly friendly and did their best to please everyone. Overall, I had a great stay.
