Trappitu dei Settimi

We spent a week here with our family and had a really good time. Mirella and Luigi welcomed us themselves at Trappitu dei Settimini, then looked after us right through to departure, which felt much warmer than a self-check-in. Breakfast in the courtyard was generous and healthy. Thank you, Mirella and Luigi, and congratulations on your professionalism.

We only stayed one night while walking through Salento, but this beautifully restored old olive oil mill made us feel as though we were visiting friends. The room was lovely, everything was clean, and breakfast was great. Mirella prepares her own products each morning and makes sure the day gets off to a good start. Thanks again. We hope to return. Breakfast was served at a beautiful, spacious Pompeian table in the courtyard, with local food and desserts made by the owner. Vines climbing overhead and trailing down the sides kept the spot pleasant even in the heat. The owners are wonderful people, and the restored property has a lovely local character. My room was spotless, welcoming, and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, too. It’s a five-minute walk to the center. I hope to come back soon. The staff are lovely and make you feel at home, and breakfast is enormous, with lots of homemade food. The location is especially convenient for getting to the beautiful coves around Castro. The one thing we noticed was some dust by the television and on the furniture where we were meant to put our things when we first entered the room. Even so, I highly recommend the place ❤️
