Hotel Dolomiten

We liked it enough to eat here on both nights of our stay nearby. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is lovely. The older gentleman who served us was especially warm and attentive, and the service was excellent. I ordered pizza both evenings, and it was delicious. After two years living in Italy, I'd put it among my top two. We also had the Wiener schnitzel. It wasn't very traditional in style, but it was freshly made, tasty, and clearly prepared with care. Highly recommended if you're in Dobbiaco!

The pizza tasted good, though nothing special. Service was slow and unpleasant: we waited 30 minutes just to order, then waited 45 minutes for our food. People who arrived after us had already finished their pizzas by the time ours came. After all that, the waiter asked for a tip, which was ridiculous.

I can't say how the hotel is, but the pizza was excellent. After the long transfer from Venice I was hungry, spotted this place nearby, and ordered one with ham and mushrooms. It was thin, crisp, a good size for one person, and gone in ten minutes. The staff were super nice too. Highly recommend!

The location is perfect, and the hotel is quiet, which we really liked. What stands out most, though, is how friendly everyone is. Niko at reception always greets us with a smile and helps with our hiking questions. The breakfast staff are just as welcoming and helpful. As Asian travelers, we especially appreciated that we were never treated differently. Can't wait to return, and I'll recommend it to friends and family.
