Hotel & Restaurant Pahor

We spent six nights in an apartment with our two children, and the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The menu is short but carefully put together, everything we ordered was very nice, and the staff were friendly and smiley. As a former hotel chief engineer, I paid attention to the building. It’s clearly been refurbished in the past few years, with good quality materials throughout, from the wood and tiles to the electrical system, sink, toilet, and faucets. They didn’t seem to spare any expense, which is unusual for a 3 star hotel. I was surprised it isn’t rated 4 stars. The location worked well too. Beaches are within 15 minutes, and the places we wanted to visit in the area were about 10-30 minutes away.

The family who run this place and everyone working there were extremely nice, and they spoke English well. We had dinner, and the steak tartare was fantastic, as was the rest of the food. Breakfast the next morning was nice too. We found it on travel advisor and booked at the last minute. Our deluxe room cost 130 Euro. It was very spacious, with a comfortable bed, a great shower, and everything was very clean. The location is convenient for the A4 and Prosseco, and Slovenia is just 5 min away. We had dinner here and thought it was much better than the well known places by the ocean. Hotel Pahor is charming beyond expectations, and the rooms and beds are very comfortable. It’s a few minutes’ drive back from the main road, but Hotel Pahor must be the best kept secret along this coast. Breakfast was lovingly prepared, with more than we could ask for. The lovely staff and the hotel have become our favourite in this region.

There’s a nice outdoor pool area at this small, very nice hotel. It’s near Portopiccolo and Triest, and has a very good restaurant.
