B&B La Villetta

Dolceaqua is a nice village, but our stay at La Viletta was disappointing. The house itself is nice, though not really clean, and the terrace has no panoramic view, just houses. It's in the middle of authentic narrow alleys. From the parking lot it's a 250m walk, which isn't easy with suitcases. The washing machine and extractor fan were broken. It's called a B&B, but the breakfast didn't feel like one: no fresh rolls, fresh coffee, boiled eggs or fresh fruit juice. Instead there were supermarket crackers, a coffee pod machine, a carton of eggs in the fridge and a carton of artificial fruit juice. Pets are allowed, but I had to drive 5km to a small river to walk our dog, and when I came back, I'd lost my parking space. The English owner says there are private parking spaces, but everyone parks there. When we used the public parking deck, other residents scratched our car with a sharp object. I suspect they aren't happy about all the tourists parking there. Tourists also can't take out their trash, since you need a pass for the dumpster at the bottom of the main road.
