BB Domus Aurea

The apartment was very clean and had a nice kitchen with all the equipment. We stayed for three nights. It’s about a two-minute walk to a bus stop and five minutes on foot to the Colosseum. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge, a nice surprise. The space was roomy enough for a couple, though it could feel crowded with four.

We only stayed one night at the end of our trip before an early flight, and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the place. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and there were snacks in the common area. A quiet park is right outside. The host was communicative and helpful, and arranged an early morning taxi for us. We walked to an outdoor restaurant beside the Colosseum for our last dinner, then got gelato and strolled around the park before turning in. There seem to be three bookable rooms, so it could work well for a family or group of friends. It’s a quiet part of town, with the attractions still within walking distance. I’d definitely recommend it.

After a day exploring Rome, it was easy to unwind in the cozy, peaceful atmosphere at BB Domus Aurea Guesthouse. The location is especially convenient for the Colosseum, Roman Forum and other landmarks. The hosts were attentive and welcoming, and offered useful advice about restaurants and sightseeing. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with decor that suited the city’s historic character. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of fresh, local options. I had a wonderful stay and would happily return on my next visit to Rome.

The building had graffiti on its outside walls, which made the atmosphere feel a little unwelcoming. I also found the cameras intrusive, including the ones in the courtyard where we sat outside our apartment. It left me feeling watched. The location itself is central and convenient for exploring Rome.
