The baroque-style rooms and the fragrant fig tree in the courtyard were highlights, along with a generous, luxurious breakfast. Isabella, who runs Villa Anamaria as a B&B, was warm and attentive, and we felt at home there. I highly recommend the hotel.
Isabella and her husband were wonderfully welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. The room was fantastic, especially the unbelievably beautiful fresco across the ceiling. Twelve out of ten!
We liked the villa so much that we returned after spending a few days in Milan, and we'd happily come back again. Its late-17th-century frescos, antique furniture, and charming little decorative touches make every corner lovely. The place is also extremely clean. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with something for everyone, and the hosts were so friendly that it felt like visiting an aunt and uncle.
We stayed from 18 May to 25 May with a group of eight to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, using four of the villa's six rooms. Isabella and Giovanni were friendly and very accommodating. The villa itself is beautiful, and both the rooms and grounds are gorgeous. Isabella prepared and presented an amazing breakfast. We were sad to leave and hope to return soon. We booked three nights, but the room was awful: the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the ventilation made a lot of noise. We asked the next day for a refund for the remaining two nights. The owner refused and hung up on us. We did receive a partial refund, but it was unfair and nowhere near enough. Very unprofessional. There are better hotels in town.
