Hotel Su Giudeu

Su Giudeu beach is an easy walk, just across the road from the gate, and several other beaches are a quick drive away. The hotel is in a great location for a relaxing break, and the nights are completely peaceful. We were welcomed by kind people, and the property was tidy and well maintained. Our triple room was spacious and very clean, with a double bed and a connecting single room. It deserves its five stars.

The location is strategic, right across from one of the coast's most beautiful beaches, and it also works as a starting point for day trips to Cagliari, Sant'Antioco, Carloforte, and famous Tuerredda. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with a useful little fridge. Breakfast includes fresh croissants and homemade cakes. Dinner is the real thing, with simple traditional recipes and excellent ingredients. We stopped going to restaurants after coming back disappointed and now happily eat at the hotel every evening. The staff are welcoming and always friendly, and the owners are kind and helpful. Ask them for beach suggestions, since all of them can be reached on foot if you like. The place is spotlessly clean and quiet, and even though the property is a bit vintage, so are we, which suits us perfectly. It feels like home, with people who make you feel looked after.

We only stopped by the hotel bar, not the hotel itself. We had an aperitif in the garden under a portico. It was a relaxing spot where we could hear birds chirping, with a beautiful view across to wonderful Su Giudeu.

Some rooms have small terraces overlooking the sea, and those are especially sought after. The rooms are spacious and simply furnished, with bathrooms that are a little small but well equipped. The family-run hotel is about 350 meters from the beach of the same name. It's a simple, clean, well-maintained property, with a lovely garden and plenty of parking under the trees. Breakfast options are limited and repetitive, though the pastries and croissants are good. The nightly price is above average for the amenities provided.
