Hotel Brancamaria

We visited Hotel Brancamaria in late October with a group of 70 students, and everything was perfect. The rooms were impeccable, the food delicious, and every staff member was friendly, capable, and accommodating. I’m sure the experience would have been just as good with a smaller group. Highly recommend!

The room was great, and we had a lovely time. Everyone on staff was friendly and informative. Since the hotel is a slightly steep walk down to the coast, the shuttle into town is a great feature. I would have given it 5 stars if I hadn’t found it odd to rent a towel at a 4-star hotel. The smoking area near the gorgeous pool was disgusting, which was a shame.

I had a relaxed, fun afternoon at the cooking course with Angelo and the whole Hotel Brancamaria team. You could feel how much care and passion they put into everything. We cooked and ate a lot of incredible food, with delicious wine, and I learned plenty along the way. Great value, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The sea view from our room was beautiful, the breakfast area looked nice, and the pool was big enough for a few laps. But I was very disappointed by the service. It felt as if making money mattered more than the guests’ experience. We’d reserved a boat tour, but there was a miscommunication about when payment was due. The hotel gave our spot to other guests without telling us. We only found out on our last morning, 20 minutes before we were due to leave, while we were packed and standing in front of reception to check out. It was too late to book another tour in town. I was extremely disappointed, and reception wasn’t even nice about it. They had our credit card deposit and phone number, so overwriting the reservation without checking or informing us seemed completely unprofessional. Breakfast was okay, not great. There was no proper coffee machine, just an automate. For dinner, I’d recommend the restaurants in town, where you need a reservation, despite what reception indicates.
