Sirio Hotel

We found Dormelletto a quiet, charming base for nearby sights, with restaurants and small shops within reach. The hotel also had good Wi-Fi, plenty of parking, a relaxed feel, and a restaurant where we enjoyed excellent food. For what we paid, the value was excellent, and we’d recommend it to friends and come back. Cleanliness stood out throughout: the rooms, bathrooms, linens, and towels were spotless and felt fresh. Housekeeping came daily, though guests could skip it. The staff were warm, helpful, and professional, from reception to the restaurant team. I spent some time alone at the hotel while my husband and daughter went sightseeing, and the air conditioning worked perfectly on a low setting. We booked two rooms, one for our daughter and one for us. They had enough space for small bags, and a closet kept our bigger luggage tidy. The bathroom was decent in size and the bath cubicle worked fine, though the layout could be better. The bidet takes up space; a hose-style one might leave room for a larger shower and somewhere to hang clothes before or after bathing. We slept peacefully despite the nearby highway and railway. I heard only a little sound from the next room while I was in the bathroom. Breakfast was the same both mornings, but there was enough sweet and savory choice to try different things, and we were happy with the quality and variety. Our room’s wallpaper and some décor didn’t quite match the online photos. I think that may have been because we booked a different room category. It didn’t feel outdated, and it was clean and cosy, which mattered more to us than matching the pictures.

Good value for the price, with clean rooms, helpful reception staff, and free, spacious parking that can fit even big buses. There’s also a very nice little pizzeria just 100m away.

There’s plenty of parking, and the clean rooms have nice balconies overlooking the lake. The hotel was quite decent overall. Breakfast choices were unfortunately limited, and the bathrooms feel cramped. The walls are thin, as in many hotels, so you can easily hear neighbors using the bathroom or doing other things.

The staff are very friendly, and at least the bed is clean and the shower warm. Otherwise, it’s a budget hotel between a railway line and a busy road. You’re likely to hear both at night, especially the announcements on the platform before each train. If that helps you sleep, you’ll sleep very well. 🙄 I won’t stay here again. The beds are only a grade above a backpacker’s and pretty uncomfortable. Breakfast can be hit or miss, since it may not be particularly fresh.
