Trere Agriturismo

The people running the place are great, service is very good, and breakfast is too. I’ve stayed here several times over the past 15 years, though the furniture looks the same as it did years ago and has taken a beating. Paint is peeling from several floorboards. I understand they want to keep the rustic look, but the rooms really need an upgrade.

The restaurant was lovely and convenient, the Italian-style breakfast was nice, and the wines were very well priced. I particularly liked the reds. Wi-Fi was fine, and the pool looked nice, though it wasn’t open yet. Be aware that the nearby motocross track gets very noisy on Saturdays. The room worked for basic, budget accommodation. The complimentary kettle, tea, and coffee setup was odd: just sugar, two cups with no spoons, and the kettle had to sit on the floor to reach the socket, but it did work. On arrival there was a lot of confusion about the air conditioning, which hadn’t been serviced or made ready yet. Our room had no opening windows, just two doors, and was very stuffy, so we had some discussions about it. The staff did their best to sort things out, and after several calls a technician came. They speak some English, though we needed Google Translate at times.

The food and wine are always great, and the waiting staff are consistently on point. I also love that it’s kid friendly. The cashier, a bespectacled middle-aged woman who seemed to have some authority there, needs to improve how she treats customers. She was rude to my wife, me, and other people waiting to pay. She acted as if letting us eat there was a favor.

Trerè hosted our wedding and put up my family, and planning it from the US couldn’t have been easier thanks to the staff. Everyone was incredibly nice. Having 48 people come and share the magic of that vineyard was a dream come true. They organized everything, from the Catholic ceremony at the cathedral to the music. We can’t wait to return, both because it was our venue and because the food and wine were soooo good. Their service and hospitality blew our minds. We love Trerè and all its fabulous employees.
